‘S.O.S.’ by FEMME

“I wanted to shoot a video with an overarching sense of strength and power,” FEMME told Dazed about the visuals for her latest released entitled S.O.S. The London singer/song-writer accomplishes just that by complimenting the energetic and idiosyncratic single with an equally fitting clip. See the colored smoke, vintage appeal, and awesome hair above.

‘Ice Princess’ by Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks continues to impress with her latest offerings from Broke With Expensive Taste. On the AraabMuzik produced Ice Princess, Azealia weaves between rapping verses and singing the dance inducing chorus. For the icy visuals directed by We Were Monkeys, above, Banks becomes a CGI constructed, Medusa like, fearlessly frozen leader battling cyborg ninjas.

‘Carmen’ by Stromae

My favorite video of the three is for the new single carmen by Stromae. The Belgian artist sings a cautionary tale set of the dangers of social media – particularly Twitter – that is beautifully animated in the song’s visuals. The track itself is a modern variation of the infamous Habanera aria from the popular 1875 opera Carmen. An important watch, above.
