Ed Sheeran‘s deep track titled Bloodstream was already exceptional before receiving a reworking by English musical quartet Rudimental. Now the remix has found a way to best the already emotional original, intensifying the feels.

To capitalize on the new sound, the collaborators tapped director Emil Nava and screen-legend Ray Liota for the tune’s visuals, above, presented by the 2015 YouTube Music Awards. In the clip, an aging has-been rockstar (Liota) uses the standard sex, drugs, and rock & roll to satiate an unfulfillable void, until he snaps.

Sheeran’s vocals shine (as they typically do) on the Rudimental version of Bloodstream, which is also available on iTunes.
