I attended an Aaron Carter concert in 2013 and will never forget the high energy crowd or how blown away my expectations were. Dancing with lady friends to his hits we grew up to as pre-teens (when he himself was a pre-teen) was a nostalgic delight. Aaron even added a mix of extremely danceable new material into his set, performing the entire collection with ease, matured vocals and all.

Carter kept the energy and party-vibe going throughout the entire show and was a pleasure to watch. I remember going home and searching iTunes for the new Aaron Carter music to no avail. I even extended a tweet to him, inquiring about the new music to no response:

Well, the wait is officially over! Aaron Carter has released an EP of new music entitled “The Music Never Stopped” on his soundcloud account, above. The eight track offering features an impressive display of pop tracks that not only showcase the singer’s vocal abilities but also his production skills.

Aaron shines on tracks like opener ‘Where Do We Begin’ and the EP’s second song ‘City Lights’. Addressing the ladies, Carter has fun on the breezy ‘Wassup’ and ‘Girlfriend’, then gets deeper and more personal on ‘Let Go’ and ‘High School Sweetheart’. My favorite tracks, ‘Tonight’ and ‘Winner’ particularly grab my attention (and will likely grasp yours) for their catchy appeal and vibe-worthiness. “The Music Never Stopped” is collection of tunes any pop music fan can enjoy. 27 year old Aaron Carter has proved that he’s still got it and I’m excited to see what he does next.
