We weren’t joking when we said that Nicki Minaj has been in full promotional swing of her latest album The Pinkprint, which is officially available in retail stores and on music services like iTunes. The rapper recently released a monumental 16 minute music video film entitled The Pinkprint Movie, above, to coincide with the album.
The dramatic clip is split into three chapters, each named after songs featured on The Pinkprint album. Francesco Corrozzini directs the I Lied chapter while Taylor Cohen contributes to The Crying Game and Grand Piano portions of the story. The superbly shot film is Nicki’s own original concept and features a dramatic romantic emotional struggle (with Willy Monfret and Boris Kodjoe co-starring) that is reportedly based off of aspects of Minaj’s real life.
