Cambridge based artist, Chris Wood, has been garnering buzz for her ability to create art using dichroic glass. The process uses multiple colors creating an optical coating selectively reflecting certain wavelengths of light that allow the remaining wavelengths to transmit through resulting in a stunning illusionary light installations. Wood says of her work, “The optical materials I use in my work range from a simple water filled wine glass to the highly technical dichroic glass, basically anything that allows me to express the magic of light.”
